N95 Accelerometer Love: Y-Inclinometer by Jukka
The N95 packs a accellerometer as noted by Samir who wrote rotatme. Noted by Symbian in Motion is a new application for in the car, truck or airplane. See their post for a picture and a download. I wonder if it works for any other S603rd edition phone that automagically rotates its photo camera pictures when taking shots.
And I can't test. My N95 is still far far away (Finland).

Also. the screen light switches off after a short while, rendering the applcation unusable. Still, for all that it's the first 'useful' application of the accelerometer, and out very quickly after the initial announcement of the API. I look forward to the next version...
Hi Ocifant, it would very nice to log the accelleration stuff. It could register suspension quality, accelleration up 100km/h, cornering accelleration, decelleration of braking and such. Really a nifty testing tool. Guess how it would be cool to take it in to a ride an a Disney-ish park. The wiimote (controller of the wii game console) can log 30 samples per second.
