New year camera test ;-)
Hi folks this is my first post in 2008. I wondered how fireworks looked on video. A quick test showed that night mode caused too much streaking and noise. Automatic mode gave me the best results. Without no further ado. Here's the resulting video... Edited and cut on a classic N95!

Another question is are pictures sufficient or do you want video too? GPS? Wifi? Optical zoom? How important is the best picture and how important do you consider the rest. Battery life? Especially since at low Romanian temperatures Li-Ion will have less power. In that respect the Samsung G800 has about 20% less capacity as the N95 classic!
Of course if you want one NOW. You'd have to choose between the N82 and the N95 8GB. Where the N82 is the better camera. The xenon flash is unbeatable and the protective shutter missing on the N95 8GB will collect dust if you are not particular neat with your phone, still its battery capacity is unbeatable. Build quality of the N82 is said to be excellent by well-respected reviewers. If you want zoom, go N93i. It still really rocks, the 3.x Mpixels is not worse than the 5Mpixels. I expect that lowlight sensitivity is probabely even better.
I suggest checking the following camera test links:
-The GSM-arena 5 Mpixel mobile phone shootout (Nokia clear winner)
- Nokia Creative 5Mpixel shootout
And take a look at this:

I'd wait for 6 months if you can. I think there will be a 3x optical zoom Nokia in the near future and perhaps even with WiMax support.
Still concerning the slider. My new warranty replaced N95 classic has no problems with the slider. After a month it is still perfect and trouble free. The previous one clicked...
So? Am I hired?
excellent points! Thank you very much. You are truly a die-hard mobile fanatic! Impressive comments, thanks again!
