Excellent review, so much more comprehensive than my futile effort :-)

I only had the 'Mobile Survival Kit' versionm which doesn't include all the mains adaptors. One small point: the 'unknown' adaptor tip is, I believe, for an iPod.
Thanks for the kudos Ocifant. Still you reported it working ;-) I bought a quad AA battery 5V operated charger for the N95, but that actually lacked power to charge. I think 5.5 V is the minimum required for decent charging. Looking forward to your jawbone test!
Good review. Ordered a Proporta actually a week ago, but I got a message saying they are out of stock.

They have actually come out with a smaller version of this. They are just starting to ship it.
Yes, it is. Still, if you need a smaller one it could be an option. I am waiting to get the bigger one..:)

Yep, I saw it a couple hours ago. It sports a nice charge indicator too. Still it's only 1700mAh putting it in the range of a Solio Classic. It costs 33 euros and gives a single charge, compare that to the 20 euros a spare BL-5F battery costs. Me I go for the 3400 mAh device for 45 euros. One can never have sufficient power and it will last me several different phones models.

Thanks a lot for reviewing. I wanted to order one right away. Does anybody know where to order one when living in Germany? :)

Thanks and regards,
Corwin
You can order directly from Proporta in the UK. Also you could look at Proporta's german dealer list and order there. But I think I saw one one amazon.de...

I don't have a need for one of these (I'm never too far from a charging source) but the review makes me want one!
I would suggest a AA-powerstick like the b-powered. I once went on holiday and forgot the car-charger for the rental car. The b-powered allowed me to run satnav and still take pictures and movies on the trip. Besides, on occasion the N95 drained my battery while being on the edge of a wifi connection or running crappy 3rd party software. A spare battery might do the same though!
Wow, now that is quite a review.
Thanks, I had the flue and thus time to do some testing. Besides Ido believe in being thorough ;-).

I usually carry iPod or PDA with me. I think this might be the perfect accessory for me. Though I don't travel frequently, still it's worth for anytime backup.
